Destination College

Destination College is a collaborative effort between Chandler Gilbert Community CollegeChandler Unified School District, Chandler Education Foundation and Si Se Puede Foundation.  Students from six Chandler Unified School District elementary schools are offered a first-come, first-served opportunity to enroll in three weeks of summer exposure to a college environment. Incoming 6th graders are bused to and from their elementary schools to the college. They spend four days a week participating in classes and experiences on campus, learning coding, robotics, and science. 

Since 2015, Si Se Puede  Foundation Student Engineers have delivered the STEM Curriculum to over 180 students enrolled in Destination College.

Si Se Puede Foundation is a prevention and advocacy organization that encourages its participants to be stakeholders in their community. The organization’s three main service components include educational programming, community activities & advocacy, and recreational activities for youth. The organization focuses on school and community risk factors that are barriers to educational achievement including, delinquency, gang affiliation, and family/school/community detachment. ​
