FIRST Robotics Competition

Combining the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. We call FIRST Robotics Competition the ultimate Sport for the Mind. High-school student participants call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have.”

Under strict rules, limited resources, and an intense six-week time limit, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team. Each season ends with an exciting FIRST Championship.

Si Se Puede sponsors two high school teams in the FIRST Robotics. The Binary Bots is a co-ed team while the Degrees of Freedom is an all girls team.

SSPF Binary Bots

SSPF Binary Bots were founded in 2015 with the intention of extending their robotics program to include high school students. Many of the team members have evolved through Si Se Puede Foundation from FIRST LEGO League to FIRST Robotics Competition.

SSPF Degrees of Freedom

We the people of the SSPF Degrees of Freedom, in order to form a more perfect community, establish ambition, ensure optimal opportunities for all, promote open-mindedness, and provide for the common people. This is Si Se Puede. We are The Degrees of Freedom.
