Si Se Puede Foundation is a prevention and advocacy organization that encourages its participants to be stakeholders in their community. The organization’s three main service components include educational programming, community activities & advocacy, and recreational activities for youth. The organization focuses on school and community risk factors that are barriers to educational achievement including, delinquency, gang affiliation, and family/school/community detachment. ​

International Baccalaureate Program 

1n 2015, SSPF and Chandler High School partnered to create and deliver an International Baccalaureate Program in hopes of recruiting more students of color into the program. This three-day immersion camp is intended for 8th grade students with a desire to make connections between subjects and expand their learning.

The program is offered during fall and spring semesters.

Goals:

1. Students will work directly with CHS IB faculty and students to do hands-on activities related to a variety of subject areas. Students will have a deeper understanding of the IB Global Contexts:

  • Scientific and Technical Innovation

  • Identities and Relationships

  • Fairness and Development

  • Dimensions of Time and Space

  • Personal and Cultural Expression

2. Students will have a deeper understanding of how all subject areas are interconnected.

3. Students will feel confident and ready to enter into the IB program at CHS in 9th grade.

4. Students will reflect on their learning.
