Commitment to an Inclusive Culture

At the Si Se Puede Foundation, we are committed to fostering a welcoming environment where all individuals are valued for who they are and what they contribute. We recognize that our collective success stems from the unique experiences, talents, and perspectives that each volunteer and staff member brings to our mission. This culture of inclusion strengthens our programs, enhances our impact, and defines who we are as an organization.

Respect for Individuality

We embrace the qualities and characteristics that make people unique—whether shaped by background, identity, personal experiences, or beliefs. We strive to ensure that every participant, volunteer, and team member feels comfortable bringing their whole self to our work. Disrespectful or harmful behavior toward others is not tolerated and may lead to appropriate consequences.

Anyone who feels they have been treated unfairly or disrespected is encouraged to speak with a program lead or Si Se Puede staff member to seek support and resolution.

Opportunity for All

We are committed to removing barriers that may hinder full engagement in our programs and workplace. We work to ensure that everyone has access to meaningful participation, growth, and recognition. We understand that individuals face different challenges and starting points, and we actively seek ways to foster inclusive practices that provide support where it’s needed most.

Belonging and Participation

Inclusion means more than just being present—it means being heard, seen, and respected. We intentionally create environments where all voices are welcomed and where everyone can contribute and thrive. We believe that when people feel like they belong, they are empowered to innovate, collaborate, and grow.

Shared Responsibility

Every member of the Si Se Puede Foundation community is expected to uphold an inclusive and respectful environment. Whether at the STEM Center, at community events, or online, we ask our volunteers and staff to treat one another with dignity and integrity.

Any concerns about exclusionary or inappropriate behavior should be reported to a program lead or Si Se Puede staff member so it can be addressed swiftly and fairly.
